Sunday
The Wire but the first ep of the new season really didn't grab me at all. I'm just not so interested in these kids or the politicians. And you know that McNulty's going to get sucked back in again so it's boring waiting for that to happen. I was really looking forward to Brothers & Sisters but they've tossed out Jonathan Lapaglia so now I'm not so interested, I was really looking forward to a new show with him as a regular.Monday
Prison Break, still doing as good as last year. I've bailed on Vanished, just seems too repetitious of too many other shows and I just couldn't care what happened to the wife or anyone else. Have to wait and see about the other new shows, Studio 60 (might be good, could go either way), Heroes (X-Men for TV, I'm watching because Adrian Pasdar's in it), Runaway (Donnie Wahlberg who was so incredible in Boomtown till TPTB ruined it but I suspect this show will be cancelled early), The Class (going for the Friends vibe, it would be nice to have a *good* sitcom to watch again but I don't know if this is it), when they air. And waiting till January for Medium sucks.Tuesday
House although everyone is right about this being an odd start to the season, characters acting forced and just off. Standoff, I love Ron Livingston, Office Space is still one of my favorite movies and he's good here, although even after two eps, the HT of the week is getting a bit much. Eureka, this is one of my very favorite shows this year, I love it, I look forward to Tuesdays! As for the new ones that haven't started yet, I'll give Friday Night Lights a look but I don't expect it to be much good, Smith *sigh* I want Heist, dammit!Wednesday
Lost of course but I wish J. J. Abrams would do more like Alias and give us *answers* along with more questions, that was something I really liked about Alias, he'd wrap up a season's plot line with answers while giving us new questions for the next season and so there was a sense of movement, of progression of the characters but I feel like Lost is nothing but more questions. Jericho, it's got Skeet Ulrich so I'll give it a try and Gerald McRaney too. Kidnapped, what is it with the networks constantly copying each other at the same time???? I'll give it a watch or two but I don't expect much. 20 Good Years, for all us aging baby boomers but I'm not interested so while I'll watch the pilot, I don't expect to see more than that. The Nine, The Inside Man for TV already??? But it has a good cast so it may be worth watching. 30 Rock, again with the copying at the same time! And blecchhh, Alec Baldwin, no thanks.Thursday
My Name is Earl! I love this show! Can't stand The Office tho so I'll switch over to watch Happy Hour at least a little longer, the plot's getting thin but I really like the whole happy hour, martini, Dean Martin kind of thing, color me retro. Grey's Anatomy of course, although I really liked it on Sundays! Shark, too many lawyer shows this year but James Woods and Jeri Ryan (she was the main reason I watched Voyager all the way thru) so I have to try it out. Six Degrees, it's Abrams so I'll watch, decent cast, could be better than Lost... Ugly Betty, I dunno, it could be really ugly or really good.Friday
Men in Trees, I really like this show, a kind of anti-Sex in the City and I like Anne Heche, I even watched Volcano twice just cause she's fun and she has good on-screen chemistry with men and of course, the scenery is to die for when I'm sitting here in the muggy sauna we call Houston. Numb3rs, kinda-sorta, ever since Sabrina Lloyd left the show and they added the new people, it hasn't been near as good for me, I loved Dianne Farr on Rescue Me but I can't stand her here and I don't like the macho marine guy either. So I sort of watch it with half an eye, it's like Boomtown's second season, ick.Other Stuff
And coming in November, Day Break an hour long drama with a black male lead, wow! It's got Adam Baldwin too so even tho the plot sounds like several other shows already airing this year, I'll give it a shot. What must I absolutely see?
Grey's Anatomy, Eureka, Standoff, House...so far, still waiting to see what else is worth watching of the new shows. In December, we get the two-part season finale of The Closer which is must see for me. Come January, 24, Medium, The Shield and Monk. And then next summer, Rescue Me, The Closer and 30 Days, the only reality show I watch and I'm addicted to it. And Lucky Louie which I hope HBO brings back next summer, it was terrific this last summer.2006-2007 Season: Halijuah!!!!!

It is about time!!!! Sorkin and Schlamme are back. NBC outbid CBS for his new pilot. The match seems a bit odd considering both the topic and his past history with NBC. The show will be a behind the scenes look at a sketch comedy show. Hmmm can we say SNL??? He also seems drawing from his Sports Night show too. Still anything this man makes I will watch. I also like the fact that he didn't ask for an episode guarantee but instead put a penalty clause in the pick up that if they cancel it there will be a hefty pay out. If anything gets Networks attention and makes them motivated to make it succeed it is money. Now that I have watched every new show for this fall season can we start the new one now??? I really can't wait to see what Sorkin comes up with this time.
