Now this is a good show. Hugh Laurie is wonderful as a gruff, sarcastic misanthrope. Of the three doctors on his team, Dr. Cameron has been the most interesting with Foreman being rather annoying at times (I rather wished he'd take that job offer) but that keeps them interesting. Lisa Edelstein is great as Dr. Cuddy, trying to stay one step ahead of House, trying to keep him in line (maybe). His attempts to get out of working at the clinic and her ability to foil his attempts lends a light comic relief to the show each week.

I came into this show after being scarred from watching its clone on NBC Medical Investagation. I left feeling like if those two shows could be made into one show you would have a top 5 show on TV. First off the acting and writing on this show is suberb unlike MI. The problem with House is that every episode is deja vu all over again. Patient comes in. House guesses. House guesses wrong. House verbally abuses someone in the clinic. Patient gets worse. House abuses his staff. House guesses. Houses is wrong again. Until finally he gets it ready with some 1 in a million diagnosis. This is all well good but unlike MI the scenery never changes. Its the same scenery every single time. Its the same episode every single time. Eventually they will vary it up by having a patient die or something else happen but in the mean time its boring as hell. Great acting, great writing....boring show. Not an easy feat to accomplish but nice to know it can be done.
