Men in Trees: Pilot & Power Shift, 9/12 & 9/15

Thursday 09.21.2006

I like this one. I've always liked Anne Heche, even that dreadful movie Volcano, was worth watching twice because she was fun to watch and she has good on-screen chemistry with men.

It's good to see Jerry from ER turn up here, he's excellent, along with the assortment of other oddballs, new-agey Eskimo guy, hooker with the heart of gold, strong silent forest guy, lots of stereotypical stuff but done well by a talented cast. The scenery of course is gorgeous and such a nice change as I sit here in the muggy heat of mid-September. I'm also a sucker for odd-ball animals, I love the racoon stalking her. I never got into Northern Exposure, this is more my style, female lead and a kind of an anti-Sex and the City thing.
