I've been watching pretty much since it started and it's really one of the best cable channel shows, Tony Shalhoub does an incredible job with the quirks and eccentricities of the character without letting him become a one-dimensional cartoon. At the risk of angering all the Bitty Schramm fans, I like Natalie as much as I liked Sharona. Both characters bring out different things in Monk and push him to overcome his disabilities. Sharona's tough Jersey girl was a great start for him, someone who could push him to get out and do the job he used to do very well. Natalie is a bit softer but she can reach the human being inside him equally well. It's a good change for the show, I think.
