Some review (People?) compared this to House and that's an accurate comparison, minus the limp and law instead of medicine, he's a brilliant curmudgeon abusing his staff in pursuit of curing the patient, or rather, winning the case but since he's a prosecutor, that means finding the truth and convicting the criminal.
I like the daughter, she's a good foil for him, better able to stand up to him than Cameron to House. Jeri Ryan didn't do much in the pilot, it would be good to see more of a Cuddy/House type relationship there.
All in all, worth watching for James Woods, like Hugh Laurie, he has a presence and he's excellent at speeches and cutting sarcasm.
